释义	neoconservative新保守主义者，非正式语境中亦简称neocon，多含贬义。新保守主义是美国的一种政治思潮，兴起于20世纪70年代，9•11事件（ → 9/11 ）后影响骤增。和传统的保守主义相比，较少关注社会问题。新保守主义者认为美国是世界超级大国，应在全世界推行自己的价值观，必要时不惜使用武力，这样才能确保美国自身的安全。新保守主义者外交上多推行单边主义（unilateralism），不注重国际合作。对伊拉克发动的战争即是新保守主义思想的产物之一。
